SFX mod poll

I wonder if people would like a modified SFX package and if so, which sounds would you like to be different.

I came up with the following ideas:

Completed
- Slotting (Reduced it to just two sounds, one for succes and one for failure)

Ideas
- Turkeys
- Voilin player
- Eating
- Skilling
- Bile up
- Fighting

Please come up with more.

This looks as good as any a place to share some of our Sound effects we have so far:

Paving
Opening a Pot
Mining
Construction on Anvil
Tree Chopping
Picking Branches
Building Construction Sign
Cooking over Fire
Tinder Drill
Running the Loom
Chipping Stone
Cave In Start:
Opening/Closing Gates:
Baking Table Interaction:
Chalk Board:
Butchery:
Picking up a Frog
Coming into Range of Church:
Seed Press:
Till Field:
Sawbuck:
Carpenters Bench:
Alchemy Stuff:


Don't mean to hi-jack your thread. But figure it might help you to know the various sfx .res files we plan on pushing to your clients soon. Also if you have any feedback on additional sounds you think we should add please let me know.

Nice, a bunch of new sounds are comming in. Well this thread was mainly about changing some of the current sounds, I personally think some of them could use an improvement. I don't know exactly whether or not you are reconsidering some of the older sounds aswell. If so this all is a bit unessesary. In the distant I've heard something about it but I was not certain.

When we tackle sounds everything will be on the table. So yes if you feel there are sfx that need another look please put those ideas here and I'll try to double back and look at it.

Res mods only matter to noobs anyway because only noobs use custom clients.

Giff background musics and make the bostom bard play other things.

Today I've read that some people are still not statisfied with the new turkey sound, therefore I have just made a different turkey sound.

New turkey sound can be downloaded here:

If you don't want to hear any turkey sound in particular download the ''turkey silence'', I updated the meta:

Suggestions for other sounds are welcome too, especially now that we have alot more sounds in the game, they're are all easy to change.


How to install:

1: Download the zip file from the url(s)
2: Extract alle the files to your salem file so to: ''C:\Users\''Username''\Salem'' (In my case my username is Administrator so for me it is: C:\Users\Administrator\Salem)

Everything should be fine now, please feedback.

some of newbs have a sound played whenever another player enters their visual range ;)
