Graphical Glitches Started 7-4-14

After these last rounds of restarts and updates, no matter restarting the client in Enders or Vanilla I get some weird graphical problems.

Example.

I can't say why or what triggers it, but since yesterday this happens often. Sometimes moving or reloading the map tile fixes it. And sometimes it just makes another mesh explode.

You will notice that the client itself wasn't actually updated though this patch. Therefore, this seems like a terrible coincidence as we didn't change anything that should have any effect on your hardware/rendering abilities.

It's a good question what it actually is, though. I have to say it looks like a hardware error to my eyes.

Any thoughts as to why it would suddenly do such? Would maybe a driver roll back or something help? Other games seem to be okay while playing.

It may help to know what kind of hardware your running on to see if there is any general information we can find on why it may not be performing in this manner.

AMD Quad Core 3.1GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Radeon HD 8550G 512MB (yes I know its not the best, but it should be plenty) Supports pixel shader 4 or 5 I think.

Java 7 v51
Win 8 64bit (mehh)

All service packs and things are up-to-date as I let windows install them as they are released.

If you need something else I might could provide it.

Check your logs to see when drivers were last updated. If an update went through since you last session, it could be the cause of the problem, and a complete uninstall and fresh reinstall of drivers would be recommended.

I've not heard of any issues with the auto-updater for drivers on Win 8 yet. I've heard mostly good about improvements with it, but it has been an issue in the past. (I've not dug into the issue much, either, so take my words with a grain of salt.)
