Addendum: If web browsers want to properly handle domain names with "www" in front of them, they should support DNS SRV records, quite simply. I already have SRV records for HTTP directly on salemthegame.com.
Why not remove the domain in the first place ? I think domains are just a fancy web service that people use because they can't remember a series of numbers....
