Tenderboileds take 100l of water, and 2 runs of full fuel in the cauldron.
However, sometimes, it does not even finish after the two runs.

This is the third time this happened now, seems to be some random error:
I added 100l water and tenderboileds, plus 10 branches (100% fuel)
I lit the cauldron, and let it burn out. I then added another 10 branches, and lit again.
Now it's burned out, but the tenderboileds did not pop to being finished, they are at 99%

Putting in another 10l of water and 2 branches, then lighting, insta-pops them to being finished as soon as it's lit.

I have 4 TTTs in my cauldron, so far I have added somewhere in the region of 250 litres, I have refuelled the cauldron several times, and it has gone out at least once. The TTTs are only at 29%.

To be honest cauldrons seem pretty weak to me. They offer more space but burn out quicker and seem to use water faster. Does anyone else think they aren't worth the metal?

They have other purposes than cooking.

OK, but still, it seems like a bug that they take so much water to cook TTTs

You should be using a pot to cook food.

Clearly, yes, but that doesn't stop it being a bug.
