KO and teleport to Boston - homestead is gone??

Postby Elysia1985 » Sat Apr 26, 2014 10:34 pm

Hello,

I was walking through the forest gathering things when suddenly I got KO'ed. Probably a timbler rattler that I missed or something, either way, I wait to respawn at my homestead. However, when I "wake up", I'm in Boston! Odd, but I shrug and figure, I'll just teleport home. When clicking on "Home", it gives me the message I have no homestead!! Very odd, because I'm positive I have a leanto that I claimed as my home! All my stuff is there as well! I'm pretty upset, as this is days of work at this point!

Any help please?

Snake poisoning is a common cause.

Gathering thorns can also be fatal (It causes some low damage but it can add up if you're not careful.).

As for your homestead, likely someone found it and decided to destroy it. Unfortunately for new players this is right around the time when many players are set up and have absolutely nothing to do other than grinding stats and harassing newbies / poorly constructed camps.

It's also possible for a lean-to to decay over time (takes around 1-2 weeks usually) if you don't keep it repaired. You can make repairs under the Adventure menu and have the appropriate materials in your inventory when you click on the object to repair. Usually, decay is noticed by the object taking on a red tone, but some objects will simply break because they have only a small number of hit points and go from only slightly damaged with no color changes to breaking. The only way to prevent decay is to have the objects on an active town or personal claim.
I am a moderator. I moderate stuff. When I do, I write in this color.
