The number shown as ingredients is wrong.

3 Mushrooms and any 5 plants NOT 2 mushrooms and 6 plants

Mushrooms count as plant too.
The numbers are correct.

You could make it from 8 mushrooms. ^^

Arent since i had 2 mushrooms and 7 herbas and said missing ingredient. i placed 3 mushrooms and left 5 herbs and all went green and was able to make salad

One of the mushrooms must have been counted by the recipe as herb first and then there was not enough mushrooms. If you removed all 2 mushrooms and then picked them again then it would work

This. It's one of the awkward parts of the game interface you just have to learn to work around for now. There's going to be other recipes that have this issue, too.
