can't play game
Posted: Sun Mar 02, 2014 2:46 pmI might post this the wrong place. But i've recently registered on the game and yes I have java installed. but I click download and nothing happens .. sigh. I'm no nerd and have no clue what to do 
1. Make sure that you have Java enabled for your web browser. The launcher file is a Java Web Start file,and it won't run without this setting enabled. You will also need to make sure that you set Java's security level to medium for the most recent update OR have Salem added to the exceptions list. See more here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8388
2. If it still doesn't work, you may have a firewall or security software blocking Java apps. You'll need to read documentation to temporarily disable it and see if it then works. If the security software is the cause, you can add exceptions for Java and/or Salem. Read you're software's documentation for instructions on how to do this. If the ports are required for this, they are TCP 1871, UDP 1870. (Note: make sure to check your router, too.)
