Character not under account after death.

Hey Loftar,
Thought I'd let you know. After one of my characters got murdered it disappeared from my Character list under account on the forum.
So far it seems "pre-account update" dead characters are there, new ones are not.
Figured I'd share my findings, no big deal.

dead characters always disappear from your character list, and it has never been differently, as far as I am aware.
Which account update are you talking about ?

The account button top of the screen. It shows all your characters on all servers.

He's talking about the list of chars you can see in "Account" via the forums.
Actually to find a dead character you must search for his direct heir, and it'll be noted as "direct ancestor".

Well then, if unable to inherit due to being declaimed, the predecessor can never be linked to its ancestor.
Still find it a bug.

my bad, might have misread this a bit following the other discussion of murder.
I haven't used the forum character list myself, but it's good to know.

If you know the characters name you can also find it. Just click on one of your active accounts and then in the URL change the name to your deceased character.

Also, do you have to have a claim to get the ancestor with inheritance? I always thought you could do it no matter what.

You should be able to inherit no matter what, but without a claim (or at least a lean-to with some supplies at a decent location), there's not any point.
