this post has nothing to do with current issue

so i logged in and tryed to open a chest that i use often... i couldn't open it.
i just just make back ups of keys for all the villages and stored them on a key alt so i figured that maybe some one i mixed up the keys.
but after having the mayor come and test what key works on it and then making me a copy of that key.... i still cant open it.

i also cant open a gate that i just used.. tho i did throw out the key that was labeled the same for the key that the mayor had for the chest.. so maybe some how those keys got mixed. :/

Yes, I can confirm that making a copy from the right key, that's needed to open the chest, and binding it to him, does not allow him to open the cehst, as it should.

Something is weirdly bugged here.

Luckily (bad sadly for you), this is the first time I hear about it. Good think you have people with copies of those keys

it doesn't make sense because some dumb ass merged it with a post from HELLA long ago....
thos chests were destroyed by a raider and no longer exist. >.>

this chest we could get in to with OTHER chars but even making a new key for my char i still couldn't open it....... these are 2 separate issues.

yah i don't know what was going on... after throwing out all my keys and making new ones i can now open the chest and doors.

no idea what happened i am pretty sure i didn't mess with the keys on that char even when making a key alt... i have all the same keys on my main so no need to have logged in a char that doesn't even have key making skill.

this would really suck for some one that didn't have back up keys tho. >.<

Yes, that was indeed a nasty typo, thanks for fixing. Fixed the OP as well

EDIT: also this merge is rediculous. The issue from this mod-necro'd thread has completely nothing to do with his char now being unable to use keys.
