Even if a tablet could run it I don't know if it would be possible to play. There is no mobile version of Salem, so at best playing would be a torture

A Windows tablet with a full version of JavaSE installed should be able to. Android, Blackberry, and other operating systems based on or using the Java Micro Edition won't. Of course, Apple's iOS doesn't support Java (without jailbreaking... and not sure of that). I'm not 100% sure on the tech details of the mouse to touch screen conversion, though, so this might break it.
