Try temporarily disabling your firewall or antivirus program first to see if that works.

Edit: I just did a quick search for "java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family: connect"

Try uninstalling your TCP/IP v6. Instructions can be found here. Yes, I know that is for a different java program but in theory it should work the same and It's worth a try anyways.

Another possible solution from minecraft forums:

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/133 ... y-connect/

Uninstall 'Relevantknowledge' what ever that is, lol.

A post from McAfee's forums: https://community.mcafee.com/thread/42313

Spyware is spyware whether the company tells you exactly what it is or not. :|

KillerKye, in the future, please don't "bump" your posts. This is a small community ran by volunteers. We get help from the devs where necessary, but we try to let them work on the core of the game as much as possible. We do try to get to issues as fast as possible, but sometimes that is a day or two. Thanks for understanding.
