Salem

I can connect to server, but it wont let me play my character. I click the play button but nothing happens. I can click new character and it starts normal, but my main character is unable to play. I have tried to use standard client, and ender client, and both refuse to let my main play. I played last night and had no troubles, so unless this livestream thing / surprise thing, changed something, I am unable to connect. REallllllllllly dont want to start all over. Might just keep trying and hope later it fixes itself unless someone can determine what happened. I amon my own land, not committing crimes, and am not dead. just feeling like it since I cant get my Salem fix.

To which server are you trying to connect? Roanoke is down for the time being.

well, i dont really know what server i am on.. but.. I can log in as far as character selection, but am unable to play my main. I CAN however connect as a new character and enter the game, so its not the server as far as I can tell. Some reason i just cant log into my main character. Unless the new character start up area is not connected to a server.. which is just confusing to me.

Do you remember what is says when you port to the capital on your main? Server and town name are the same on Roanoke and Jamestown, but it's Boston for Plymouth. Since you have to pick a server when you board the ship in char creation, I can't tell you where that area is hosted, but I assume it's Plymouth.

Not sure, might be Roanoke. Says Boston, but think I see Roanoke when I walk out of town. Never really paid that much attention. So i spose if Roanoke is down, that would explain why I cant log in. And if new characters dont go to a server until they go on the boat, then that would explain why I can start a new character and not play my main. Guess I will wait for the Roanoke server to be fixed and see if that solves my problems. Just wish it would tell me that it cannot connect to server instead of just doing nothing while I click the button like a mad man hoping to get my Salem fix. Thanks for the info and hopefully this will all fade into a bad memory. Guess I will go play some Wurm whie I wait.. sigh

The teleport button says Boston no matter what server you're on. The name of the central colony is the server you're on.
