im using a 1680x1050 rez and the font on items are really small. Not small enough that I can read them, but small enough that after a while my eyes start hurting trying to strain to see them. I'm finding my self leaning way into the screan just to read what the different food items offer.

Is there a setting or maybe a file I can edit to increase the font size?

You could always change your desktop resolution or try running the game in full screen mode with a custom resolution.

:fsmode <resolution> -- sets the resolution of fullscreen mode; <resolution> should be size you want 1920x1080, 1024x768, etc. example: :fsmode 1920 1080

Try doing :fsmode 1280 800

Do you enter that in the chat window, or is it a command-line argument?

Sorry for the n00b question, but I just installed the client last night and am running into the same issue (with computer hooked to TV and viewing from couch).

Click somewhere in game world, or background in the login menu and just type it there.
the : sign just opens the console

Keep in mind that fullscreen mode is really buggy and won't work correctly on some(most?) graphic cards.

After setting :fsmode I believe you need to type ':fs 1' or was it ':fs on' to turn fullscreen on
:fs 0 or :fs off to turn it off

If your screen just turns black(happens for some people) don't panic and type :fs off/:fs 0
