After I click on th link I cant seem to be able to open the program...

Anybody know what to do?

Do you have java installed?

in some cases, javaws.exe is not correctly linked to jnlp files.

To solve this: open with, go to your java directory (usually something like C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin on windows), and select javaws.exe to open the .jnlp file you download.

THanks guys, it worked out. only problem now is i cant seem to login, the game doesnt recognise me...

unfortunately, I doubt I'll be able to help with that.
Do note, however, that - contrary to quite some games - the username is case-sensitive when logging in. You'll need to type 'Kudil', not 'kudil'. The password is -obviously- also case sensitive.

In that case anyone know how to resolve the ''could not connect to server'' issue?

Check your firewall/router/antivirus and make sure its not blocking the connection.

This usually has to do with 3 things: Server is down (or crashing), your security software on your computer is blocking a network connection from Java, or your network (router, service provider) is blocking the ports needed to connect.

Security software: Make sure Java and Java apps are allowed to make a connection to the Internet. ESET and Comodo both have issues. ESET is just flat bullheaded and Salem won't run under it. Last I heard the website was blacklisted by the software (not sure if this has changed recently). Comodo typically causes another problem, so shouldn't be an issue here, but is worth mentioning just in case.

Physical network: Firewalls and routers need to have ports TCP 1871 and UDP 1870 open to be able to connect to the Internet.
