I did a quick search so if this is a known issue and I missed it, Im sorry.

When I load into the game all I can see is the UI, and the ground. I can see some chat bubbles, but thats about it. I am using an HD5850, and did not see it on the list of chipsets that are not working atm. Plus the issue they listed for those chipsets, is not what I am having. Any help would be amazing, I would love to check the game out. And if there is any more info I can give that may be of use, plz let me know.

Maybe all the resources are being slow to load. Try clearing your java cache and redownload the client, then load up the game and let it sit for a few. You could also try to use ender's client and see if the resources load better for you.

It might have something to do with your internet too.

I know on one computer I played on, I had to disable AVG's real-time protection in order to have the assets load smoothly and properly. It would only allow Salem to download stuff for a short period of time before shutting off it's downloading. Boston would only half-load and any new items I crafted remained as question-marks.

When I disabled realtime protection, all of this went away.

This might not be your problem, but it sounded similar enough to something I've experienced that I thought I'd share.
