Confirming the bug.
You can't build farms on terraformed land if any of the tiles has a clay-like texture left when leveling the land.

Well considering that historically fields were placed outside of cities (not inside) maybe this isn't a bug but a new feature to force people to make fields outside of their defenses.

Or they could place farms on non-dug land still inside their bases; or wall in their outside farms. Still, this sounds ridiculous and I am happy I have no plans of adding more farms to my property any time soon.

You can't destroy field in real life, can you?
I agree with you, yet it seems strange that we can still place fields inside forests and next to trees, which makes me think it is a bug rather than a feature.

It's a bug with the recent update and it's affecting everyone. Hopefully it will be fixed asap. =)

the game is about farming but we cant farm??!

Only the devs have control over that and they'll do it when they're ready to. As this issue has been reported, resolved, and is simply waiting to take effect I'm going to close this thread. =)
