Skills gone, and can't get them back

Yesterday I noticed that I can no longer make Bar of Bubbly Soap, I know I've been able to craft it before. My guess was that there had been an update to change the skills necessary to craft it, so I didn't pay much more attention to it.
Today I realised that I didn't have some types of food that I used to have before, which I need the skill "Simple Cooking" to do.

The problem here is: I have all required skills to learn Simple Cooking, but I do not have the skill Simple Cooking in my list to upgrade. Is this a known issue?

I changed the requirements. You need Nuts and Seeds and Fishing.

True. It doesn't always get updated immediately after a patch. I used to be really good about it, but fell off doing it when others started. They don't seem to be around much anymore. There's also some missing information that just hasn't been properly tracked down and put in the wiki. It's player run with little to no input from the devs, so we try to do our best to figure things out.
