Can't pick up crates left on field

OK, so this definitely is a bug, unlike my last assumption.

Due to pilfering neighbours, I had the 'bright' idea to hide some of my more valuable items in my cotton fields as a stop-gap measure until I could build more adequate defences, as the growth of the cotton obscured them. However, its so obscured that I can no longer pick any of the boxes up. When I try to harvest the cotton in order to reveal the crates, i am also unable to do so as some of the crates lie on the access square for harvesting fields.

Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Zoom in closer so that you can see pieces of the crates through the plants. Use lift and try to click on those little pieces of the crates.

thanks for the suggestion, but they are too obscured for that. Is there any way of turning off graphical options through a command line or something similar?

i'd like to see a screenshot of that, are you using the basic client ? Because it should be pretty easy to take it away.

I managed to resolve it with the first suggestion, it just took ages I was using enders client, just for info. I did try the native but much the same.
