Before today's update, it was possible for two pclaims to "touch" eachother (in a non-intrusive, totally "friendzone" way).

However, today's update made a certain spacing between them mandatory again.
In our town, pretty much all the claims are directly adjacent to eachother, and now none of us can expand our claim. Is there a way for the claims to be auto-shrunk/allow us to expand again ?

It would really be a pain to require us to destroy our claims & re-buy them simply because of this update...

Of course I see the necessity of this fix, but could there not be an exception for claimstones standing in the same town ?

At this point, short of declaiming and putting down new claims, there's nothing to be done. I'll PM jorb/loftar and see if they are willing to temporarily do something about this.

Just to add to this, I am having the same problem. A friend and I put our claims right up against eachother, and now we can't expand our claims except in one direction. I'd be happy to declaim and reclaim, but I'd like to know how close we're allowed to be (for planning sake).

Anyone know what the required distance from another claim is now?

The previous distance was 5 tiles apart.

That was village claims I believe, you used to be able to place personal claims right next to each other. Now personal claims are one tiles apart I believe.

That was personal claims way back when there was a separation required, just like in HnH. Not sure what it is now, and not in a position to check it out at the moment.

This is probably when you expand a claim. The minimum distance between a claim and a claim stone is 5.

which means the minimum distance between any two claims is still 3, as stated above.
