30 minutes since I had crash while plucking turkeys.... still logged in...

Open Task Manager and force close any process using Java.

-Or-

Restart your computer.

It's likely that your game client is running in the background processes(this happens sometimes when things crash, aka Salem)

After upgrading Java this was resolved for me. Not sure you can blame the game for this as it assumes you are still playing and didn't crash...
