Default client, Marchhare bug

The last 4 March hares I have seen, have been visible on the minimap as march hares while they were still just bunnies.
Note this is on the default client, and 2 our of those 4 were at my base, no one is close to it. And I doubt someone walked past, popped them and ran away to let them transform back. Hence them having the march hare icon on the minimap.

Now I am pretty sure we're not supposed to know which rabbits will be transformed into march hares?

Yes, we normally do see march hares on minimap.

That helped both new players and experienced ones, I like it.

This has been in effect since the animal icons were put on the minimap. I'm unsure what the circumstances are that you only noticed it now.

Recently got back into the game, the minimap icons are news to me.

Why have the rabbits even turn then xD?
shouldn't they just always be march hares?
