Prolly need to kill all the java that is more than likely running in your processes.

sometimes a process will stick around running in the background even though its window has been destroyed by the operating system. In such case, you might still be online in-game.
That said, I have this only from hearsay and haven't actually encountered this myself yet
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

or

Code: Select all
pkill -f java

for those unix'ly inclined. Not recommended if ANYTHING else runs on java on your computer (for me on windows that's notably mediamonkey and some various tools I have running.)

Seems like need to resurrect this thread. I was on character select screen when something happened to my connection and client crashed, now when trying to log in I am getting "Already logged in" message. There are a couple of threads on forum about it, and general advice is to kill all java/javaw processes - which I effectivly did, but it didn't help. To ensure that there would be no java processes left - I rebooted the box, but still get the same message.

Now it's been almost half an hour that I am trying to login after reboot and still getting the "Already logged in" message - anything else I can do to resolve this issue?
