Animals don't have quality

Our animals have had 2 offspring so far, whose qualities are exactly 00.0%. We've been feeding the animals 8-10% cabbages. The parents were fed that since they were babies, all the way through to when they gave birth. And the offspring were being fed that stuff for their whole lives too.

Is it intended to work like turkey breeding where they birth something like +/- 5% of their parent's quality?

The fact that they are exactly 00.0% leads me to believe it is bugged.

If there is a random factor there, 2 selections aren't a good distribution to see what the range of probablities are or figuring out if the results are skewed poorly. However, it is something to watch for over time.

My animals just have 4 more offspring. They all have 00.0% quality as well. That's 6/6 without purity. I think that confirms my suspicions.
