Milkweed bug?

I'm just starting out after a huge break from the game, and i probably found a bug, or am i wrong?
When burning milkweed for charred milkweed roots (fireplace) the first batch was ready after ~20 minutes, but when I took them out and put new ones in, they were ready after few seconds, and the next after those, and so on, got about 40+ charred milkweed in no time. It's a minor bug I think, but still.

Not a bug their burning time has been lowered. You need the fireplace to have fuel on the second bar, that's when its 4 slots start working

Also if you need fibre go for weaving reeds

Everything that you put into fireplace(those 4 slots) needs ashes. Ashes are being produced as branches burn out. After 20mins one of the branches turned into ashes. Hope that helps
