Salem

Hello! I recently downloaded Salem for the first time. The client successfully booted up and let me log in. It then directed me to a page with a "New Character" outline, which blinked when I clicked it...then did nothing. I tried repeatedly only for the same result. Within about 30 seconds, it takes me back to the log in page.

I was really looking forward to trying out this game, but it won't even let me start? Is this a common problem, and how do I fix it? Thanks!

What it sounds like is the connection being reset or lost almost as soon as you log in. Make sure any firewalls or other security software isn't blocking Java/Salem and you may need to check that ports TCP 1871 and UDP 1870 are open for use by Salem.
