Account keeps crashing and char staying logged in

It only happens to this account on this computer. My daughter can play fine, but the last hour on this account, I just crash to login screen and it keeps my char logged in. Got back in a few times, tried changing characters and from popham to Providence, and it crashed as I hit the play button and been stuck since.

Just says this account already logged in.

Been a good 20 minutes, and my character is just standing there, there is nothing over his head. Just standing over his bed.

I went into the active processes and had to kill a few Java applications, and that worked. I remembered that happening long ago on another game.

Recent changes to the Sleep mechanic has changed the way a player logs out.

If you close Salem without clicking 'Log out' before doing so, your character will take ~30-60 seconds to actually log out.

If your client crashes while playing, it considers it closing the game without logging out, therefore your still logged in for ~30-60 seconds, if you launch your client and try to log back in, it will say your already logged in.

Crashing your client will take ALOT longer than a min to log out.

When your client crashes and you can't log in then you more than likely need to close all running java's from the control panel. If you character is logged in the game then you can just log in any time. A lot of times you will see that the client crashed but java is still running and the game thinks that you are still actually logged into the game and playing, hence the already logged in error.

Rough estimate, ive never had the game crash on me since the change, was assuming it was similar to clicking Quit instead of Log out.
