How to destroy evidence.

I believe this is a bug and not intended as I found it on accident.

So when someone died in town that had something I wanted. A Canoe. I took his body out of providence and took a long hike. I found an area that was not really inhabited by a river. I took the canoe from his body. I then put the canoe in the water and picked his body up off the shore. (My intention was to drag his body away from the scene of the theft and to another location to deposit it.) However riding down the river a few feat from the crime of theft from a dead body his body just disappeared from me. He is not at the location of the theft and he is not on a shore near by or anything. Getting out of the boat I am not carrying him. Hes just gone. I was sure that bodies do not disappear ever. He did only have a scalp score of a like 2 points.


Evidence is not destroyed really but the chances of someone finding random scents without a body is rare.

Basically the same thing just happened to me. I was trying to move one of my dead chars, who hadn't turned into a skeleton yet, back to my claim for a burial. I put the body on a river bank, got into my canoe, lifted the corpse and after having moved a dozen or so tiles down the river, I noticed I was no longer lifting anything. I went up and down the stretch of river several times, but it seems like the alt's gone.
