Fighting argopelter

When fighting argopelter they sometime just dissappear. It's not that they climb a tree or something, but they just vanish and i become out of combat again.
Is this intended?

Idk if it'd intended, but if there are no trees around it just disappears.

Ahh! Well there was...but abit of a distance. So that might be the case then?

Yes if a argopelter can't find a close enough tree to climb it will run off so fast that it appears to disappear.

it also happens when it is blocked trying to get into a tree often enough.
