fighting bear

Postby mrmay87 » Wed Mar 11, 2015 8:37 pm

When i fight a bear i turn on run for more maneuverability. I go to attack bear, bullrun it and then proceed with my saber one attack. move then stomp, stomp usually doesn't work but thats besides the point. after I attack it the second time i try to move but my guy seems to be boxed in (e.g. having planting pots around him). My character cannot move, just change his direction. I know bear has a stun attack and this is not the case. Does fear maybe do this? I have not heard of it. Seems to be bug, does not happen with any other animal.

Yes, but having a broken leg reduces your yellow bile by a substantial amount, which causes your maximum carry weight to decrease dramatically. If you're carrying more than twice of your maximum carry weight, you won't be able to move.

But since this isn't what happened, maybe you were simply stuck on something?

it's happened on two different occasions so I am positive I wasn't stuck on something

i would understand lag once but twice (two different bear), i mean its possible sure. I just confirmed this is not a lag issue. Fought 3 deer, when I engaged them my character started changing his direction, not moving mind you, just changing the way he is facing. Therefore when I use my saber he thrusts in random direction. With this issue I can only stomp or use halberd since this is area damage rather than direct damage. This happened during each of the three encounters and did not stop until deer was defeated. Please let me know if there is something I am doing wrong here. I have not had this issue before while engaging in combat. I recently switched to latikai so that could be the issue, i guess.

Edit- Seems to have been the always face option on the client

I get the same issue. My character changes directions rapidly and doesn't move at all for several seconds while animals attack me.

It's like he's having a seizure in combat 80% of the time when I enter it.

you use latikai client?

edit: if so change client setting "Always face primary target" off and it should fix
