Mac Java Bug?

Hello,

A friend is trying to start the game on his Mac.
He gets the following error message: Java 6 cannot authorize the Salem Java client to make changes on his machine. He cannot click on the Authorize button.

He tried to authorize the game by going through the detailed authorization options, but that failed to fix the issue.

What would be the solution? Use the buggy Java 7 for Mac release?
