Excessive Splash damage

Postby Rantul » Sat Dec 27, 2014 7:12 am

This has been going on for some time, but i could not find any submissions/reports or anything regarding it.

When destroying makeshift fence it destroy them all and doesn't stop until it hits a gap or gate.

Makeshift not hard to build, but still time consuming to rebuild a 100 of em for no reason other than splash is broken on the fence. I certainly hope this is not working as intended.

I go back and forth on this. Makeshift fence is not intended to do anything but keep bad guys out of your plots for your first week in the game without at least knowing that they committed a crime to get in there. After that you should remove all of it and go to split-rail. Thus this is a nice 'feature' that allows you to remove all of it faster.

The alternative is to go back to a world where it was a mild nuisance to remove, at which point defenders would use it is as the 'preferred' wall type to bait more waste scents, spam more layers of nonsense walls, OR just make these GIANT makeshift walls that were thousands of tiles long to stop people from 'looking'.

oh ic ok, currently i use em as placeholders for future walls, so to make adjustments before actually making the main wall. good to know its only for makeshift thanks.

Indeed, it should only be happening on Makeshift. Let me know if anybody finds out otherwise.
