So I was taking my first joyride around my general area in the awesome boat I just built, and everything is going fine. Just breezing around enjoying the speed when I noticed a feather close to the shore. So I steer the boat over to the shore and try to get out but clicking the ground wasn't working and after several tries I steered closer into the shore and actually embedded myself into the ground terrain. No amount of trying to move back into the water worked at all, so after a few minutes of trying I logged out with hopes it would clear itself upon re-logging. Nope. It didn't.

After logging back in I got the message that my current location was occupied and I would have to be ported to my homestead losing everything in my inventory. It was the only option so I logged in and re-traced my path (running all the way, I hadn't really gone that far) in hopes I would see my newly-built boat and somehow get back onto it, but it's gone - not there anymore at all.

So maybe the collision detection needs to be tweaked somehow to prevent this from happening - I was literally inside the terrain itself maybe a few game-inches below the surface of the ground and unable to take any action at all to get out or move in any direction.
