Chest placement

I have troubles placing a chest in my home, when i have the chest lifted and try to place it with a right click, it doesnt work, at least most time it doesnt work, sometimes i workes but not in the position i want it to be placed....i think this isn't supossed to be as it is

There's some issues with the housing right now that is making things like this difficult. It's known and documented. In the mean time, you'll have to keep trying until you get used to exact spacing needed.
