I just went on a bunny killing trip: killed 24 bunnies and got a couple of carrots and so on.
Back at the base, i put them in a chest but then make my mind up and move them to another chest. Getting them out of the first chest, though, spawns two more
carrots in my inventory. I think that shouldn't happen? I've seen it happen before and some other townies reported it as well.

I wonder where they keep that carrot if I don't see it the first time around.

Rare pickup items (rainbow scales etc) spawn only by item arriving in inventory (not backpack or pockets)

Did some of the rabbits go into your backpack originally? They must have if you had 24. Backpack and pocket doesn't count the same as your inventory so when you pick something up, it doesn't do the 'drop loot' roll for those containers. It does it next time you pick the rabbit up and it goes into your standard inventory.

That really should be changed.

Some bunnies are more adept at hiding their carrots than others. Working as intended
