Roasted Pine nut Stuffing - consumes double nuts

Hi,
the roasted pine nut happens to be a stack of 2 nuts (2 consumables but can not be split)
If I now use the recipe for Roasted Pine nut stuffing, it will consume 1 stack (2 consumable nuts).
However, If I first consume one of those and leave the stack with 1 nut only, the recipe still works just fine. So why does the recipe consume 1 or 2 nuts? Should it not stick to either one or two?
And the recipe itself numbers it as "1" roasted pine nut needed.
Thanks for your feedback

All recipes consume the entire item used to craft it regardless of how many 'bites' you can take out of that item or 'uses' you can study it with.

So you are telling me all the recipes are bugged and need a fix?

Well - if the recipe consumes all, I can accept it. Then why does the return not increase? This does not seem logical to me. If I use the double amount of nuts, there should be also an increase Gluttony value. Same with other recipes - if there are more input materials used than the recipe requires.
Or if I already have enough ingredients from the matching items for a recipe it could just create two.
Although you say this is happening to all recipes it does not make it more logical for me.

This is not a 'stack' of 2 items, there are something like 2 'bites' you can make, 2 uses of one item. And, btw, you can use it once and then craft what you want with 1-charged item.

You seem to think that because there is a #2 that there are "2" of these items. There is not a stack of two. There is a single item that has '2' uses.

Yeah, the description I use might not be very good.
However - I do not expect JC to change anything. It is just not logical that I can also do it with a half complete consumable but then a full consumable can not produce 2 units. The explanation that all recipes are the same does not really work for me

And yes.. I can consume it one time - still that does not change the logic behind, it just helps me to use half of the consumable in a different way.

The handful of nuts is too much for you to handle so if you have not eaten any of them then you spill half of them on the ground.
Besides all good cooks snack as they cook.

The option would be to NOT have the number of uses on the item, but instead have to manually look at the item to see how many uses it has left. Which would you rather prefer?
There is the possibility of changing the UI so a player can distinguish between "items in stack" vs number of uses, but how many items in game actually stack? Food and items that have multiple uses certainly don't.

Well. forget it. I see that my command of the english language is not sufficient to explain the topic.

It's a good point. Items that don't have all their uses shouldn't be usable in crafting
