Pot purity display

I planted a tree cutting in a pot ( Maple Tree ) and when it was ready to be planted in the ground I could not see the pot purity .
after planting the tree it was possible again to see it.

is this a bug ?

I had this with a tree I had planted before the purity pot patch just thought it was a glitch due to the tree already being planted. Have not planted a tree since to know that it would still happen.
