Compost points from cabbage heads

Postby Xsardi » Wed Sep 24, 2014 11:54 am

Composting full cabbage heads gives points equal to amount of leaves in it, but the core isn't taken into calculation. Seems illogical.

this happens with pumpkins too, if you throw a Connecticut field in you get 9 pts I believe, while slicing it will give you 2 pts for each flesh ( 12 total ) plus you keep the seeds

Every gardner knows that shredding your compost matirial makes life much easier for the worms to brake down. Just dumping hole heads and Pumpkins means mold and rot will get to the center of produce before the worms can. It only takes two clicks, think of the worms.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Don't think that it was intended, especially looking at the same situation with pumpkin.
