Touchpad on MacBook not working.

Postby Hatesville » Tue Sep 23, 2014 2:41 pm

Hello all,

I've searched the forums for replies, I've switched the bits to 32, downloaded a third party app to do that.
Still I can't manage to left or right click.. Curiously I am able to two-finger zoom in and out?
What am I missing?

Cheers,

H.

two finger should simulate just a scroll wheel button. Can you confirm this isn't working on the touchpad but DOES work on the mouse? or does the mouse have the same issues?
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I actually only have the touchpad, will edit title, as it is misleading.
Forgive my noobness.

oh that wasn't the issue: I just wanted to know whether an actual mouse gives the same problems.

Well, all I found on google were some mentions about how sometimes the left and right clicks are disabled when a mouse is connected to the laptop. Since that isn't the case, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for someone with mac-knowledge to pass by.

ps: why not consider buying a mouse? for a couple of bucks you can get one and they are so much more practical :)

As an aside, I'm not sure I agree. I actually appreciate touchpads quite a bit since they allow you to only move your fingers instead of the whole hand/arm. :)

Yeah, but that's when coding and you want both hands at the keyboard. When playing games you keep one hand on the mouse anyway.
