The last 10 days I've spent over half of it hunting wild turkeys in coniferous areas... I know I've KO'd at least 100... possibly 150... and still have not found a single fertile turkey.

If the spawn rate is on par with WSS... then Devs really screwed up 'giving them away' to Tribe or others.

That little contest with the Gold Bar... just give over and call it done.

Even I've heard about feeding fertile turkey droppings into bins... to create golden worm... then feeding that into coops to increase chance to create golden goose.

So if Devs gave folks fertile turkeys... then they loaded the dice on their own contest for one faction over another. (Yes- I'm talking about Tribe)

Whatever their reasoning... I still think the proc rate of fertile turkeys needs a boost.

Hey- Devs... don't create a contest and give any faction a leg up.... unless you just think we are ***** idiots?!

Permadeath runs off plenty of folks already... that's the game... but NEW devs that appear just as BIAS as the last... is much worse...

I can understand- even appreciate vanity gifts for those who report bugs and such... but giving away fertile turkeys (given its apparent mechanic in 'end game' game play)... is hardly a VANITY gift... who suggested that? Loftar?

You being unlucky and not knowing how to get a golden goose are not a bugs in the game and this is not the place to report bugs in your brain.

well with the latest patch I been able to kill a lot more turkeys and apparently I am unlucky in finding this elusive fertile turkey.. I don't someone would at least tell me if hunting them in non-darkness makes a difference or not? I just like to know if I am wasting my time or not..

They are very rare. The intention wasn't that you could venture out and possibly get one in a sitting. Just that you wouldn't pass up a turkey because there is always that chance it might be a fertile.

Darkness makes no difference on spawn rates.

thanks a lot for the info.. I wasn't sure how rare it should be and if I was just wasting my time not looking in darkness.. I keep on my the turkey rampage for now and keep my fingers crossed

If it helps, the odds are better than 1:500 to get one and worse than 1:100
