Larceny with exploit

Today I got larceny. Larceny is harm but it's part of game... so it's ok for me.

But my pilferers used exploit for larceny. They are not destroyed wall or gates. They did a town over my territory named Fear. Now I can not use my territory (the same with my wife's territory next door) . And I can not destroy theirs Town Bell. I believe it's exploit. If not - this is lack of foresight of game developers.

If this exploit or lack of foresight, I require:
1. Full compensation (silver all right too).
2. Destroying a town of pilferers.

If you tell me "it's ok, it's our cool design idea" or "there is no compensation for exploits", please let me know about that and I leave this game. My pilferers are good testers - NP, but I do not like game mechanics which seems like exploit.

1. No compensation for exploits except in rare circumstances.
2. That isn't a bug, or an exploit.
3. If they could build on a claim, they did, and built a town bell
4. Next time don't be stupid, build a v-claim first.

You are not developer or support worker, so, don't be an idiot, shut up and get out.

you do not have to be the developer nor support worker to know one of the main features of the game.

those who placed a town bell are playing semi-agressively, using the intended mechanics properly. id rather go diplomac and talk first but maybe they couldnt meet you online or maybe they thought your place was abandoned, who knows.
i see no exploits as far as i can read from op, and the devs probably wouldnt waste their time on replying to this, unless they are too bored.
if you still need to hear from "official" people, wait till Moo comes online.

Tonky,
I'll concede that you are right because you are experienced player. But I can not make a decision based on the words of players (unofficial wiki, etc.).

This is logical:
1. I buy land. I might use my land. If I loose land claim - I can't using that land anymore. But if I still have a cliam - this land is still mine. If not - it's exploit or illogical feature.
2. If anybody can claim town over my land and then open my LOCKED gate for free - it's exploit or illogical feature.

If this an exploit - I need compensation, it'd fair. If in my case this features I don't like it and that's why I might leave this game, I like most logical and transparent game mechanic.

i would not call myself an experienced player, but an experienced forumer ;)

anyways, this is indeed how the game works.
you buy land for your own usage, but if someone wants to build a town over your claim, town claim beats personal claims and can declaim them. (would cost them silver for declaiming.)
some diplomatic people may try to talk before doing it, but its not that easy with time-zone difference.

if you do not want your claim taken away like that, you need to build your own town over your claim.
having your claim but not building your town or not belonging to a town always has this risk.
also, anyone can smash your gates with high enough humours no matter claimed or not, its not an exploit nor illogical feature.

if you dont like it, you can
1) leave the game,
2) get over it and resettle somewhere else,
3) hire a mercenary or offer a bounty to destroy the town for revenge.

Nope. I still have a claim =)

That's one of two variants as I wrote earlier.

And this...
Tonkyhonk wrote:3) hire a mercenary or offer a bounty to destroy the town for revenge.

... doesn't cover illogical (or disliked by me if you prefer) features.

they "can". its different from "they always do".
it costs them to declaim. they may be waiting for you to declaim and leave so it wouldnt cost them, or waiting to earn more silver to declaim later.
