There's still the possibility of this being a network issue. Have you tried running the client with all security software off? Are you connecting through a network with a firewall or other security software that you don't have control over? What, exactly, is your network setup like and what brands/models of routers, modems, etc. do you use (one of these might have a built-in firewall that can cause problems)?

Same error pops up.

Having the same issue with vanilla client.
Last error log had "Null Point Exception"
Keep getting disconnected constantly.

Rolled back to Java 6, same issue, cleared cache multiple times, same issue.

The guys in my area all are reporting alot of lag 1 minutes, then disconnects, then other times might be alright for an hour.

To me there is something wrong with the caching/code of the server side client.

Please address this issue as 3 ppl I used to play with have already left the game due to this issue!

Can you post the error itself? And provide more information if possible - useful information might be what operating system you are using, if there is any pattern that you've noticed in when you get DC'd, how long it's been happening, ect.

EDIT: Oh, and where are you from? My understanding is some Germans have crashing issues that were solved by opening a port in their routers. I don't know if any other countries have similar problems or not, but having a general idea of where in the world you are may help.

I have only had the Null error once and didn't copy the boxs' text :(
This all started when they added the update for new sounds which was weeks ago.

I have WinXP SP3, all updated driver etc. Using 32bit java 6 atm, but thinking of reinstalling Java7. Same happens on both versions of java.

Our internet network has no issues regarding the router and their ports. I explained in another thread that all our network is fine even other java games.
I also posted a ping trace to the server from Melbourne Australia which is where I am. We have no issues playing any other game full stop!

The weird part is, like my friends from Denmark through to US. We get lag, rubberbanding, DC's, and at other times 5 secs later, a perfect game window which may last from 10mins to an hour.

I have even tested Vanila, Ender, and BD clients' all with the same disconnections, then "already logged in". Today after I got home I hadn't played since last light and the first login, "server not found", then 2nd go already logged in, 3rd go logged in and lasted maybe 5minutes before DC.

Could this all point to the user login part of the code on a seperate network, as I've seen similar issues like this testing other games?

Have you gotten any other error messages that you can post or just that one? And do you know if your friends have gotten any they can post?

Have you noticed it happening more often when doing anything specific (teleporting, entering a building, foraging, killing bunnies, ect)? Or when in specific areas/biomes? Or does there seem to be no pattern at all?

If it started when they added new sounds (I have no idea what was added), then I'd imagine it's crashing when it tries to play a certain sound, in which case there is probably a pattern that can help determine what sound is the problem (assuming of course that is the problem). The more info you are able to provide the easier it'll be to find a solution.
