Disconnecting in Providence

Postby LeyBR » Tue Aug 02, 2016 8:01 pm

Hello!
Need help.
Whenever I teleport me to Providence, the game disconnects.
This only happens in the city.
Could someone tell me what can be?

do you get a crash report ? Does the client give any reason why it disconnects?
Off the top of my head: bad internet connection which stops resources files from reaching, causing a resource server time out crash.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I get no bug report, the game simply closes for no apparent reason.
and as said earlier, this only happens in the city. In regions of the map near my home I spend hours logged without problem.

Does the client perhaps lack memory ? Boston can be rather taxing on memory/cpu requirements. But this would cause an error message pop up too (even though the main window of the client disappears); you'd get something like this:

you can press the 'details' button to get more ... details.
Even if it doesn't mean anything to you, it might tell us what is up.

You are not understanding.
When I teleport myself to Providence, the game closes for no reason and I do not receive any error message.

I've seen clients do some freaky **** network usage wise. The problem is I fail too hard to properly diagnose what's up with them and make a report that could lead to figuring out if it's a universal issue with lat's client that i'm using, if it's a bad mix of settings + client, or hardware issues or isp settings issues. The last time lots of people had this issue was indeed as kand says when resources took too long to all load so one eventually timed out. But that wouldn't close the game altogether, it'd at best take you back to the login screen.

Game crashing to desktop is a different issue altogether.

I do not quite understand What you said.
I'm Brazilian, I'm using google translator.
The problem that occurs here is, when I'm in Providence, the game closes completely without error message. But if I do not teleport to Providence, the game gets online without problem for hours.
