Mine cave in bug

This is the second time this has happened. By the way, I had like 5 minutes to react, not that it makes a difference. If you see **** falling from the ceiling, you'd best be removing everything from the area because building a support wont change a damn thing.

Everything under the caved in area disappears, and it also glitches out drying racks so you cannot mine the rocks fallen on them. Guess the only way is to destroy the racks first.

Expect to use half an inventory of humble meat pies when this happens, I literally had to mine out 30 useless stones last time it happened. You also have to light fires beside the fallen stone again.

sorry, but I simply can't see a thing on your screenshots. Please provide us with non-black screens :)

Are you aware you must build the support right beneath the impending cave in? (that is, right on the tile showing you the snow falling)
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Well nobody said it had to be right under it, I sort of assumed it had to be within it's radius.

Built it 1 tile away.

When you mine you now run the risk of triggering an impending cave-in, illustrated by dust falling from the mine ceiling. You can prevent the cave-in by building a Mine Support under it.
