says that my drivers are up to date and how do you check to see if desktop is set to 32-bit?

Right-click on the desktop, select "Properties." In the last tab, "Settings," There is a drop box labeled Color Quality. This should be at Highest (32 bit).

yes it is on 32 bit, and is there somehitng in the catalyst control center that you can change to set it up for this game?

No, there isn't. This is a compatibility mode only set per program in Windows for older software.
