Clients won't load on Mac - Apple blocks Java on Mac

Let's just hope Oracle fixes their faulty code once and for all so that we don't have to experience this in the future.

As far as the complete block by Apple, I agree it's taking it a bit too far, especially when you see the kind of modifications required to get around it (a simple toggle button. is that too much to ask ?)

Sad part is, I can think of more than a few corporations that run a ton of their software in Java. But then they have huge security wrappers around the whole thing, too. It's a matter of managed risks, and most individual and end users aren't going to be aware of or be able to secure things at that level. I don't blame Apple, but they've had this attitude since their inception.

Is it only me or does Apple somehow find a way to add a blockage to Java without any updates? I've had to run the Terminal command several times after the first use because I keep getting a JRE error roughly every 2 weeks. The only thing I can think of that I have updated once is Firefox.
