Game won't launch

I installed the game, but when i click the Salem icon on my desktop Java boots up and asks me if i want to run the game, i click yes then a window quickly appears and disappears... and nothing. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution? I'm using windows 7.

Double check your security software. Make sure Java is allowed to run apps and that the apps can access the Internet. There's been problems with a few different security suites in the past, and I've not heard any recent postings of whether they've been fixed. Known issues: Komodo, ESET are the two I recall immediately and a couple others I know of but can't recall the names of immediately.
