Did you start your fence with ctrl? On the pic it looks a bit as the wall wasn't aligned with grid and was shifted slightly down. If that's the case then you will have flatter those lower tiles as well

As he said, he can build a new corner sign post on the tile, but cannot extend the wall. (thus a loss in resources)

This rules out the possibility of 1 tile biome which are unbuildable on, like clay.

You know I was looking at that and the new section I started with the new corner did look slightly offset to the other wall and I didn't understand how that would be. I usually try to use the shift key to place it but maybe some how it got off. In this case cause this was a continuation of the whole wall I started. Maybe I missed placing it on the first corner cause I was using the build and destroy method so I didn't have to pay extra for the gate corners. I don't know if I do that again cause they take so long to destroy a wall tile now.
