Screen Freeze Crash

This only happens about 30 minutes to an hour into playing before I have to restart the client, I've tried Java 6 and 7 as well as used both vanilla and Ender's; the issue is constant. The screen will completely freeze once the 'crash' occurs, though it never actually brings up a crash log or actually CTDs. I've taken the error_0 log from the Salem folder, though, so that may help you guys with helping me fix this issue. I'd give you my computerspecs, but I can guarantee that it's able to run Salem. I will tell you it's an Intel processor, which I've heard have had some issues and I'm using an nVidia card.

When posting logs here, make sure they're from the original client so that loftar knows that it's not a mod causing the issue. There is at least one issue with Ender's that I'm aware of that never occurs with the original client.

From looking at the one you posted, it could be several possible errors. However, from what you describe, my first guess is the video driver or GPU hanging up. Double check to make sure you have up-to-date drivers supporting OpenGL 1.4. If you have the most recent driver, might I suggest trying to revert to an older version to see if that fixes it? It might simply be something that the driver or a driver setting is doing or not doing (such as Catalyst's "VPU Recover" to reset the graphics processor when it hangs). It may be easier to try tweaking some driver settings than finding a working older driver.

I managed to resolve it myself while tinkering around. For one reason or another, Salem decided it was a better idea to use the chipset in my laptop instead of the actual video card even though it was set to be default. Thanks for the fast reply though, and I might suggest that for other people having issues such as mine to make sure if they do have multiple sets in a machine to make sure they are using the appropriate one.

It's been quite a while since I've messed around on a system with integrated graphics and an expansion card, but last one I worked on had a "manual shutoff" in the BIOS. If that is properly disabled, the onboard GPU shouldn't even be drawing power.
