Stuck on "Loading..." screen

Whenever I log into my main character, it shows me the black "Loading... screen". However, it's not like I can't render it. I have played Salem before and creating a new character does not have the same issue, only when selecting my current character. How could I solve this?

It's possible something became corrupted and it's not crashing you. First thing to check is your download. Clear out the cache in Java and redownload. Next thing to check for is anything updating since the last time you were able to play: video drivers, network connections, Java itself.

Same thing is happening again. My main is currently in Boston along with some of my alts which I checked to see if they had the same problem. I can create characters and they load just fine, but whenever I go to Boston it just gets stuck on "Loading.."
