Claims not Stopping Intruders

Hey there!

A few days ago I was walking around and discovered that I could somehow enter a nearby neighbours stake claim. "Great" I thought as I began looking around for anything worth looting, although not much of value was left. I kept walking for a bit and found another claim and once again I noticed that I could enter it and loot whatever I felt like. Bear in mind here that I don't have any of the skills required to do this so I figured that they must have died or left their claims open for some reason. Eventually I got back home with a growing suspicion and had a friend come over and try to enter my homestead, which he could despite not having the rights to do so. As far as I've noticed all stake claims seem to have just stopped functioning and I was quite surprised to find that nobody had made any mention of it on these forums. So, is this a new "feature" that I've completely missed out on or some unnoticed bug?

Claim got upkeep, right click on your stake and you will be red bar, if it is 0/xxx your claim is not working.

Further note: if the claim has not paid upkeep, then it is destroyable and will eventually decay (if I recall the patch notes correctly).
